Frequently Asked Questions About The 50+ Experience Brazil
We strive to ensure that US tourists interested in visiting Brazil are well-informed about what to expect from our VIP tours and exploring the country. That is why we have compiled our answers to some of the most frequently asked questions about The 50+ Experience Brazil and Brazil travel.
Common Inquiries
Travel
Q: Are there any travel restrictions to Brazil?
A: US citizens need an eVisa. This is an easy and quick online process via the Brazilian eVisa website. Because this rule went into effect in April 2025, it will be mandatory for your 2027 trip.
Safety and Comfort
Q: How safe is the experience?
A: We provide a "VIP Bubble." From the moment you land, you are in private, air-conditioned transportation. In the Sambadrome, we use VIP-only direct access to bypass the general public crowds, and our Camarote Nº1 lounge is a highly secure, private environment.
Q: What is the "on-site costume assembly"?
A: Parade costumes can be elaborate and confusing! To keep you comfortable, your costume is delivered to your hotel. On parade night, our staff meets you at the staging area to help you put it on, secure any pieces, and take professional photos before you enter the avenue.
Physical Requirements
Q: Is there a lot of walking?
A: In Rio, we use door-to-door transport for all major sites. Paraty has historic cobblestone streets, which are beautiful but irregular, so we recommend sturdy, flat shoes. For the parade, the walk is about 700 meters at a slow, celebratory pace.
Q: What if I want to go back to the hotel early?
A: Carnaval nights are long! For our VIP Camarote nights, we provide two scheduled return shuttles (typically at 2:00 AM and 4:00 AM) so you can head back to the hotel whenever you feel ready.
Health and Logistics
Q: Do I need to be a good dancer?
A: Not at all! While dancing is encouraged, the goal is to enjoy the energy. We provide you with the lyrics and English translations months in advance so you can sing along with the crowd, which is what the judges love to see.
Q: Will there be medical support?
A: Yes. Both the Sambadrome and Camarote Nº1 have world-class medical stations on-site. Additionally, our tour leaders are with the group 24/7 to assist with any needs.
Booking and Preparation
Q: When will I know our parade date?
A: The official league schedule is usually released 6–8 months before Carnaval. As soon as it's announced, we will update your personal itinerary.
Q: What should I pack?
A: Light, breathable clothing is key for the Rio summer. We will send a detailed "VIP Packing Guide" 90 days before departure, including tips on footwear and evening attire for the Camarote.
Q: What if I don't want to be in the parade?
A: At the time of booking, you can opt for an additional night of luxury at the Camarote Nº1.
Q: What's not included?
A:
- International Airfare
- Travel Insurance (Required)
- Dining
- Optional Spa Treatments
